Galib Baptized! 2020-06-14

Dear prayer warriors,

Thank you so much for praying for Galib’s baptism this last Sunday. We had a beautiful baptism ceremony outside in Russel’s back yard. (Now that the quarantine is partially lifted we were able to gather 8 people [that turned into 11] in an outdoor environment for a bar-b-cue and were able to celebrate the baptism.)

Guys, much of this was only possible because of your faithful prayers. In fact there was much warfare around his baptism. The baptism almost didn’t happen for various reasons (misunderstandings, etc. but none that were due to Galib’s desire to get baptized). Suffice it to say that your prayers play a very integral part of this ministry. Thank you so much for being here with us, even if it can’t be in person. And please continue to hold us up in prayer. Please continue to pray for the ads going up on Facebook in Bengali.

Mafuza was the other woman who committed her life to follow Jesus. Please pray for her baptism which is much more complicated b/c she feels she can’t let her husband and family know about her decision. Pray for wisdom in our part in giving her godly counsel and for boldness on her part not to shy away from the implications of the Gospel in her life. This is a very difficult decision for her.

Please continue to pray for our other contacts including Mostafa, Hussein, Polash (whom many have been praying for. He has moved back to his village again), and for Ramzeya and the Turkish group. Mursheda will be meeting with them again soon, now that the quarantine is partially lifted in NYC. Mostafa and Hussein are both around a -6 or -5 on the Engle’s scale (www.ctunreached.com/the-engels-scale). Please pray that they would become more receptive to the Gospel as they continue walking through it on a weekly basis.

God bless you all and thank you so much for praying!!
