More New Believers!

Praise the Lord sisters and brothers! After 2 years of Bible Study and prayer Hussein made a decision to follow Jesus!

Hussein is the Shiite Muslim that I have been sharing the Gospel with weekly. 2 years ago he insisted that he would never follow Jesus, yet he was willing to study the Bible with me. Every week I would study the Bible with him and his wife (who is a Christian), and we would break bread together. About a month ago he started confessing that he believed that Jesus was crucified and was raised from the dead, but he was still unwilling to give his life over to Him as Lord. This last weekend after our Bible Study I asked him if he would pray to commit his life to follow Jesus. He prayed with me declaring Jesus to be his Lord, he repented of his sins, and he put his faith in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.

Please continue to pray for him. He is still very confused about the Islamic prophet Mohammed and Ali. But we are trusting that the Holy Spirit will show him the truth. Please pray for his baptism as well. Although he has said he will follow Jesus, confirmation of the reality of that choice comes when the person is willing to be baptized.

Also, his wife is returning to Colombia to visit family for the next month or two. I will be meeting with Hussein for these next few weeks one on one. His wife’s prayers have been key in bringing him to Jesus. Please pray for them both.

Also, Mursheda brought another woman to the Lord in Captain Tilly park by the name of Halima. There are several women who have committed their lives to follow Jesus in Captain Tilly park and we are trying to disciple each of them. Please pray that they will be willing to submit to the discipleship process and get baptized as well.

Lastly, please pray for those who are preparing for baptism in Bangladesh. The COVID virus is running rampant in that country and everyone is in lockdown. There are four people we are expecting to be baptized in Shipchor but they have to wait till the lockdown is lifted.

We also want to thank God for a very special church that donated the money necessary to get the rest of the audio Bibles into the rest of the homes in Shipchor that were not given audio Bibles 2 years ago. We expect more and more people to be coming to the Lord as a result of these Bibles.

And one last prayer request: One of the pastors that work with us in Bangladesh by the name of Masum, has come down with a fever and is feeling very sick. This is recent and he hasn’t been to the doctor, but please pray for his recovery.

Thank you all so much for your prayer and support.

May God bless each of you
