God is moving in Bangladesh! 2020-07-15

Dear Prayer Warriors,

God has been working tremendously through our contacts in Bangladesh! Many of you have been praying for Mustakin whom Parveen brought to Jesus two months back. Since then Pastor Zaman (that is the AG pastor that CTU supports in Bangladesh) has been discipling Mustakin over the phone.

This past week Pastor Zaman invited Mustakin to his house along with another believer named Ezekiel Mondol. It turned out that both Ezekiel and Mustakin come from the same town close to Pastor Zaman’s village. They both knew each other though neither one knew the other was following Jesus. When Pastor Zaman offered Mustakin a Bible, Mustakin was hesitant to take it due to his fear of what Ezekiel may tell his friends back in their village.

Please continue to pray for Mustakin. He has agreed to come back to pastor Zaman’s to continue his discipleship. But please pray that he will accept the Bible and start reading the Gospel in his own. I’ve included a picture of the three of them in pastor Zaman’s home. (From left to right we have Pastor Zaman, Ezekiel and Mustakin.)

Another bit of Good news is that a we found out that 2 people in Shibchore, named Shawpan and Noion, just recently made a decision to follow Jesus after listening extensively to the audio Bibles CTU provided for the families in the town. (Many of you may recall that after Parveen’s father died CTU made a commitment to get an audio Bible into each home in her father’s village of Shibchore.)

In an even more surprising turn of events we learned that there are already two secret believers in that town. Their names are Shahid and Raihan. Shahid and Raihan have committed to start discipling Shawpan and Noion. So now we will have the first house meeting in Shibchore with these four believers. Please pray that God will use them to bring more and more people in Shibchore to Jesus.

Lastly, I also want to share with you that my mother, Arline Westmeier, has been working on writing Mursheeda Parveen’s biography and wants to publish it in book form. She is just finishing up the final touches and we already have a publisher in Germany that wants to look at it. (They have published several of my mother’s books over there in the past.) Please pray for this book. Most of my mother’s books seem to get published in German before they get picked up here in the US. Please pray that this book would be well accepted and that many would come to the Lord through Mursheda Parveen’s Testimony.
