Another MBB! 2020-08-07

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Thank you so much for praying for CTU. Praise the Lord that He is continuing to work through our audio Bible distribution in Shibchore, Bangladesh! Another young man named Raihan just came to the Lord. There are now several families meeting in the house church there.

Please remember to keep Shibchore in your prayers. When Mursheda Parveen’s father passed away we set the goal of getting an audio bible into every home in his village. This is the fruit of your prayers and efforts in this regard!

It also looks like God is working in Saleem (Mursheda’s husband) as well. As you know he suffered a stroke a while back and has been out of work. Their business also closed down and the Lord has had Mursheda in full time ministry since then. With only one income things were getting tight, but God broke through and provided a large sum of money through government unemployment. God even provided a friend to help Saleem fill out the forms in English! After that break through he was able to recognize that it was because of God’s love that he is being taken care of. He has agreed to start attending a Bengali Bible Study and prayer meeting on a weekly basis for the first time in his life. This is the first time that he is consistently praying with other believers in Jesus name. This is a huge breakthrough!!

As many of you know, Saleem has made several decisions to be baptized in the past and has changed his mind right before the baptisms. Please join us in praying that the exposure to God’s Word will make the difference in his life.

Also, please pray for Saleem’s friend Shiraj. Since he is a very devout Muslim who prays 5 times every day, he has been very resistant to the Gospel in the past. Recently his wife left him for another man and he was thrown into deep depression. He kept on asking “why me? Why me”? He confessed to Mursheda Parveen that he didn’t understand why God would allow such a thing to happen to him. This opened up the door to speak about the importance of forgiveness. He said that he could never forgive his wife. Mursheda explained that this is because he has never experienced God’s forgiveness for himself. He agreed that he would pray and ask God to show him how he can be forgiven so that he could forgive his wife. Please pray that Hod would show him the true forgiveness that is only available through Jesus’ blood.

Also, please keep Mustafa and Hussein in you prayers. God is working tremendously in each of them. Hussein (a Shiite Muslim) is going through some tremendous financial difficulties in his business (he runs 2 clothing stores). Please pray that God would use this opportunity to break through to him.
