Seven New Believers!
Dearest Prayer Warriors
Seven! Yes, seven people from Muslim backgrounds came to Jesus this week through CTU ministry. 3 here in New York and 4 in Bangladesh. The 3 Bengalis that came to Jesus here in New York did so through our weekly outreach in Capt Tilly Park. So, please be in prayer for Jiaul Hoque, Anowara and Laili. We are trying to set up discipleship meetings with all of them. Anowara is in a difficult situation b/c she is now a secret believer. Her family doesn’t know about her decision and as she doesn’t have a cell phone for us to communicate with her privately. Discipleship will be difficult and we are hoping she can unless she can meet Mursheda Parveen in the park. Please pray for all of these.
In Bangladesh there were two women who are coming out of prostitution who commuted their lives to leave prostitution and follow Jesus. Their names are Rimi and Mukti. Please pray for them as this isn’t a simple change of lifestyle. Many prostitutes in Bangladesh are in slavery to their handlers and leaving prostitution can be very dangerous. Please pray for pastor Badol and his team as they try and help these women.
Two others came to Jesus in Bangladesh through Masum. Their names are Mohamed Shojib and Mohamed Ali. They are both in danger from family members who would harm them if they learn about their commitment. Please pray for their protection.
Lastly, pastor Badol was able to make a trip to Shipchor this last week. He baptized 4 people:
Anamul Hassan
Rayhan
Bulbuli
Amir Khan
Please pray for these four new believers in Shipchor as they continue to grow in Christ. You may remember that Hassan (Anamul) is under persecution from his family and has to stay in Pastor Badol’s safe house on different occasions. Bulbuli has similar issues with her family. Please pray for these and their continued discipleship.
Thank you all so much for your prayers.
May God bless each one of you as you hold these new believers up in prayer.
Thank you so much
